A local little taco shop started by Chefs Jakobi and Jet. Jakobi and Jet have been close friends for years, working alongside each other in various restaurants' kitchens cooking, creating menus, and harboring a dream.
That dream came to fruition in March of 2017 when Chino Loco's doors opened to the public and Jakobi and Jet were able to apply their own creative spin on recipes close to their hearts - and roots. In fact, Chino Loco means "Crazy Chinese" in Spanish. After living in Mexico for a few years, Jakobi has built a large arsenal of Mexican cooking styles, while Jet has an extensive cooking background in Asian cuisine, thanks to many family recipes. Scott, our General Manager and Jet's brother also has an Asian cuisine background and has cooked for years.
They've fused both of these together to make Chino Loco.
